Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have announced the signing of Thabo Qalinge after negotiating long and hard with Mpumalanga Black Aces and his representative Bradley Carnell.
The 22-year-old winger will be a welcome reinforcement to a Pirates side that will be contesting for five titles this season including the CAF Confederations Cup.
Club chairperson Irvin Khoza said “Section 10”, is a player for the future and knows that the former Black Aces midfielder will achieve great things with the Buccaneers.
“The management of Orlando Pirates understand fully that we cannot dry today's washing with yesterday's sun,” Khoza said on the club's website.
“We are under constant pressure to improve our output and Thabo (Qalinge) is of a calibre deserving to join the team. Orlando Pirates provide an opportunity for Thabo to display his talent and hard work at the highest level in Africa.”

Pirates will play SuperSport United at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday, August 2 in their MTN8 quarter-final.
