Cape Town - Orlando Pirates will play against Egyptian side Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga this weekend.

To get used to the climate and situation in Mbombela the team is leaving Johannesburg for Mpumalanga today and continue their preparations from there.

A Sport24 source at the team said that on Monday the players were given the chance to rest before travelling to Mbombela.

"The team will leave for Mpumalanga on Tuesday," the source said.

"They will be there until the game against Zamalek over the weekend.

"They were training and playing the whole weekend and on Monday they had to rest and prepare for the trip to Mbombela."

Pirates won their first CAF Confederation Cup group stage game away against AC Leopards of Congo.

Kick-off is at 15:00 on Saturday, July 11.
