Pirates lift Carling Cup trophy

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have won the 2015 edition of the Carling Black Label Cup at the FNB Stadium, beating rivals Kaizer Chiefs on penalties on Saturday.

Pirates won the shootout 4-3 after the Soweto giants were dead-locked at 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Pirates opened the scoring in the 19th minute thanks to a Sifiso Myeni free-kick before Chiefs equalised in the 65th minute through Reneilwe Letsholonyane.

However there was no denying the Buccaneers in the shootout as they were crowned champions for the fourth time in the competition's five-year existence.
