Cape Town - Orlando Pirates head Coach Eric Tinkler tells Sport24 that his boys have been brave while playing in Africa.
Tinkler said this ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup group match clash against AC Leopards in Congo on Saturday (16:30, SA time).
"You have to be brave to play in Africa and the boys have been brave to reach the group stages," Tinkler said.
"Today‘s game will just be part of the ongoing tests and the players are ready to pass the test."
Defender Happy Jele, meanwhile, says that as a team Pirates have the courage to take any opponent in Africa.
He said that the courage they have comes from their strength, and that they want to use it on Saturday afternoon.
"Our strength is our courage," Jele said.
"We are so courageous when playing in Africa.
"We are strong mentally and we take each game as it comes.
"We have to show that courage today and win the game."
Goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo will look to do his part by keeping a clean sheet.
"We have to just make sure we keep a clean sheet," Mhlongo said.
"Every time we keep a clean sheet we win games.
"It's also good when we win away as that gives us the morale going into the next games.
"So today we will make sure we keep a clean sheet and win the game."
