Pirates arrive safely in Dakar

Cape Town - Eric Tinkler and his Orlando Pirates side have touched down in Dakar, Senegal and await their connection flight to Mali.

Orlando Pirates will lock horns with Guinean outfit AS Kalouma on Friday, May 15 for their first leg clash of their CAF Confederations Cup match.

According to the clubs media officer, Thandi Merafe, who has travelled with the team; the players are looking forward to the match.

“We arrived safely in Dakar last night and we are now awaiting to board our connecting flight to Bamako in Mali,” said Merafe to the club's official website.

“The players are in good spirits despite the long flight.

“We have a short flight to Bamako and then we have a Captain’s run scheduled at the match venue at 17:00 today (19:00 SA time).”

Kick-off is at 17:00 (SA time).
