Pirates: Nothing is impossible

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates liaison officer Okpara Williams said that the club intends to win the CAF Confederation Cup for the country.

According to KickOff, Williams reflects on the 2013 CAF Champions League loss to Al Ahly and sees their triumph over the Egyptian giants in the current Confed Cup as growth since their last continental meeting.

“Nothing is impossible,” Williams says.

“The aim is to win the trophy not just for Pirates but for the country. We were in the final of the Champions League in 2013 and that was a painful defeat [to Al Ahly], but this time around we’ve gained the experience.

“We know what is expected from us and I promise you with God on our side we would make the fans very, very happy.”

Pirates will face Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel towards the end of November in a two legged final and will be hoping to replicate the 1995 CAF Champions League triumph.
