Cape Town - Orlando Pirates' continental title ambitions will be tested after the CAF confirmed the two Confederations Cup groups.
Eric Tinkler’s side secured their group stage status by brushing aside AS Kaloum over the weekend at Bidvest Stadium, beating the Guinea side 6-1 on aggregate.
The Soweto giants have been drawn in Group B along with AC Leopards, Zamalek (Egypt) and CS Sfaxien (Tunisia).
Oupa Manyisa and his troops will travel to the Republic of Congo for their first group B match to face Leopards over the weekend of June 26-28.
Group A will see Al-Ahly (Egypt), Esperance (Tunisia), Etoile Sahel (Tunisia) and Stade Malien (Mali) do battle.
The Buccaneers progression to the next round of the Confederations Cup has resulted in clashes with several fixtures, most notably the Carling Black Label Cup. Pirates were scheduled to play Kaizer Chiefs on the same weekend in their annual Carling Black Label Cup fixture.
However, Carling have now confirmed that they are attempting to reschedule the fixture and will release the new date as soon as possible.
