Cape Town - Orlando Pirates’ PSL clash against Ajax Cape Town, which was scheduled to be played next week, has been postponed due to Bucs’ MTN8 participation, reports the Soccer Laduma website.
The game was due to take place at Cape Town Stadium on August 20, but has since been moved to a later date to accommodate Pirates' first leg MTN8 semi-final clash against Kaizer Chiefs.
“Yes we have postponed that game to a later day. We haven't sent the date yet but we met this morning (Monday) and the game was postponed to a later date,” said PSL General Manager, Derek Blanckensee.
Pirates overcame SuperSport United in a penalty shoot-out on Sunday to set up a semi-final duel with Chiefs, who beat University of Pretoria 3-0 in their semi-final over the weekend.
Platinum Stars and Wits will battle it out in the other MTN8 semi-final.
