Phala signs new deal with SSU

Cape Town - SuperSport United have announced that Thuso Phala has signed a four-year extension which will see him at the club until 2019.

The winger netted 8 goals with 13 assists for Matsatsantsa in the 2014/15 season and helped the club lift the Telkom Knock-Out trophy in 2014 with his stunning strike against Platinum Stars in the final.

Phala represented South Africa in the AFCON 2015 in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon starting all 3 games for Bafana Bafana scoring one goal.

The 29-year old joined Matsatsantsa two seasons ago and will no doubt be a key member in United’s attack in the upcoming season alongside Kingston Nkhatha and New Zealand International forward, Jeremy Brockie.

SuperSport United’s CEO Stanley Matthews added, “Thuso has shown himself to be one of the most dynamic and exciting players in the country so we are pleased that he will be spearheading our attack over the next few seasons.”
