Cape Town - SuperSport United winger, Thuso Phala, insists that any side in the top half of the table has the quality to win the PSL.
Phala is gearing up for the new season and is confident that his side has a shot at the title.
“Chiefs and Sundowns have more national team players than us but I think we are up there and can challenge them for any silverware,” he told Sport24.
“All the teams are spending more, buying more players so a lot of teams are challenging for the championship.
“Platinum Stars were once challenged, Ajax once challenged so you have more teams competing.
“I don’t think there is a difference between big and small teams anymore,” he concluded.
SuperSport have bolstered their front line, bringing in Kingston Nkhatha, Jeremy Brockie and Phumelele ‘Ace’ Bhengu all in the space of six months as they look to recapture the league after five years of disappointment.
