Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town veteran Nathan Paulse is looking forward to getting back to action after recovering from injury that has seen him miss majority of the pre-season.
The striker says he is ready to get back to action and will do the job if his coach can call for his services in the weekend’s PSL match against Maritzburg United.
“I’m eager to return back to action and have been pushing very hard to improve my fitness since I missed out on preseason,” Paulse told Sport24.
“I’m slightly behind the rest of the players, but I think I’m getting fitter with every day as I have been put extra work to be on the same level with the other players since they had a proper preseason unlike me.
“What I can tell you is that I’m ready to help my team and if the coach decides to call for my services in the upcoming game then I will do the job,” he said.
Urban Warriors coach Roger De Sa might opt to give Paulse game time in the Maritzburg clash to widen his options for the MTN8 semi-final second leg match against Bidvest Wits.
Ajax clash with United on Saturday, August 22 at 20:15.
