Johannesburg - Matthew Pattison is confident Mamelodi Sundowns can challenge for the ABSA Premiership title by winning their remaining league fixtures.
The Brazilians are five points behind league leaders Orlando Pirates, but with a game in hand they can reduce the deficit to a mere two points should they beat Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium on Sunday.
"We have to win to stay in the race, that's a must. In fact we must win all our remaining games and the others have to drop points. I am sure we can do it though, we're all motivated and ready for this challenge," the midfielder said.
"We know Chiefs as they know us but I think we can expect all-out attack from both sides as we both are gunning for the league title."
Pattison added that Sundowns have learnt from their defensive errors against Ajax Cape Town, which resulted in a four-all draw, and will put in an improved performance in the final stretch of the season.
"We have worked on our mistakes, we know where we went wrong and we have to apply it in the next game, that won't happen again" he said with reference to the eight-goal game.
"We know what we coming up against and we are ready for them."
The kick-off time for the fixture has changed to 16:00 on Sunday.
