Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker has thanked the coach, players and his family for the support they have given him this season after he claimed the Man of the Match award in their 3-1 win over Wits on Monday.
Parker struck twice in the first-half to take his league tally to seven goals from just five games, while he was also on target for the national team recently.
"I'd just like to thank the coach and the guys that have shown so much support in me, even before the game they told me I am going to score," he said.
"I'd also just like to thank my family for showing me support, being behind me."
Regarding his blossoming partnership with striker Kingston Nkhatha, he added, "Our striking combination is getting stronger and stronger, game by game. And I hope it's going to continue being like that.
"I'm going to take it game by game."
