Parker hails Chiefs coaching duo

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker has hailed the technical staff combination of coach and assistant coach; Steve Komphela and Doctor Khumalo.

Komphela was appointed Chiefs coach last month after Stuart Baxter resigned from the hot-seat.

Reports had suggested that there was tension between Komphela and Khumalo - alleging they would be a combustible pairing.

However, Parker has now dispelled those earlier concerns by praising their effect on the team.

"The coach has been motivating us to improve, both as a team and as individuals," Parker told the club's website.

"Doctor Khumalo, as the assistant coach, is also helping out in this regard.

"Komphela is very much a father figure kind of coach, we enjoy working with him."
