Papic: We don't fear Chiefs

Cape Town - Polokwane City coach Kosta Papic insists his side "are not afraid" of Kaizer Chiefs as the two sides prepare to do battle on Tuesday evening.

Preview: Polokwane v Chiefs

Rise and Shine endured a disastrous start to the 2014/15 PSL campaign, winning just one of their opening eight league matches to leave themselves entrenched in the relegation zone.

However, the Limpopo-based outfit have since won their last three Premiership matches to hoist themselves to 11th in the standings, and although they come up against an unbeaten Amakhosi side, Papic insists they are relishing the challenge of taking on the leaders.

"They [Chiefs] are the favourites, but we are not afraid of them," Papic told The Sowetan.

"They are playing very good football and they are winning their matches. But we are not going to sit back.

“We are going to attack and play our style of football.

"We are in good form at the moment, but we should remember that we have not done anything, so we are not getting excited.

“We need to stay focused because we still have a lot of matches to play. We have to keep performing."

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Tuesday, November 25.

Sport24 will have LIVE scoring and interactive commentary of the PSL encounter which is being played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
