Cape Town - Polokwane City coach Kosta Papic has bemoaned Cole Alexander's state of mind, with the midfielder yet to feature for the team in the current campaign.
The marauding midfielder, who was the club's Player of the Season last term, has one year remaining on his deal with City but has attracted the interests of the Premiership's big guns.
Alexander even tried to force a move away during the recently concluded transfer period and refused to sign a contract extension with Rise and Shine, leading to him seemingly being frozen out from the City setup.
"Cole Alexander is a wonderful player, there's no doubt about that. Last season I was happy with him, but this season he has changed," Papic told KickOff.
"We are waiting on him to get mentally ready, and when he gets ready I'll play him. I speak to him everyday at training and after training, but if he gives me what he gave me last season I'll play him."
Meanwhile, Rise and Shine take on Orlando Pirates in a Absa Premiership clash on Tuesday, September 22.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
