Papi reveals Downs' secret

Johannesburg - Papi Zothwane believes individuals need to make sacrifices for the good of the team if Mamelodi Sundowns are to win the Premiership title.

The Brazilians have a perfect record in the PSL having won all four of the fixtures thus far.

The club's star midfielder, Zothwane, says the ethos within the team has brought results and suggests this is the essential ingredient in ensuring the trophy goes to Chloorkop.

"Team-work can make us successful," he told Football365.co.za.

"Working for each other and sacrificing for the team can help us win the league. Also being positive that we want the league can help us make it.

"We must not lose focus and get excited about winning few games, working as a team is what made SuperSport successful in the past three years. If we can work as a team and put individuals aside then we can make it as well, I don't see us failing if we can do that," he added.

Zothwane, who scored his first goal in his first game of the season after coming back from injury against champions SuperSport United in their 2-1 victory, said it is vital for the Brazilians to maintain their momentum.

"We have to be consistent and continue from where we left off. We have to be consistent because it is not how we started but how we finish," he added.

The Brazilians' next match will be against newly crowned MTN8 champions Orlando Pirates at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on October 16.
