Cape Town - Saturday’s winner of the Premier Soccer League will pocket a first prize cheque of R10 million.

According to the SuperSport website, the prize money for this year’s league race is the same as it has been for the last five years since the start of Absa’s sponsorship.

This is the final season of the bank’s current contract and there are negotiations for a renewal.

It is in stark contrast with the R1 500 prize that Orlando Pirates earned as the first winners of the National Professional Soccer League in 1971.

This season's PSL title will be won by either Orlando Pirates or Moroka Swallows.

Final day PSL fixtures (15:00 kick-offs):

Santos v Jomo Cosmos, Athlone Stadium
Bloemfontein Celtic v SuperSport United, Botshabelo Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs v AmaZulu, FNB Stadium
Maritzburg United v Moroka Swallows, Harry Gwala Stadium
Mamelodi Sundowns v Free State Stars, Lucas Moripe Stadium
Golden Arrows v Orlando Pirates, Moses Mabhida Stadium
Black Leopards v Ajax Cape Town, Peter Mokaba Stadium
Platinum Stars v Wits, Royal Bafokeng Stadium
