PSL suspend NFD fixtures

Johannesburg - The Premier Soccer League have confirmed the fixtures for the new National First Division season have been suspended until further notice.

Acting PSL CEO Cambridge Mokanyane made the announcement on Tuesday ahead of the Special General Meeting scheduled for the end of August, in which the future of the NFD is set to be discussed.

The previous SGM, held earlier this month, saw members agree that South Africa's second division should become a stand-alone entity in a bid to increase its attractiveness as a marketing brand.

The PSL have yet to confirm when the new NFD season will eventually get under way.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
