PSL set for East London?

Cape Town - Top quality soccer action may be returning to East London during the current PSL season as Eastern Cape’s football team Chippa United is looking to play some PSL games in the city.

United's Chief Operating Officer, Lukhanyo Mzimzi, said that the club is looking to bring some games to East London and hoping to play a minimum of at least five games in the region.

“We are planning to bring some games to East London,” Chippa United chief operating officer, Lukhanyo Mzimzi told the Dispatch Live website.

“We are hoping to play at least a minimum of five games.”

Buffalo City Municipality revealed that talks are still ongoing.

“BCM [Buffalo City Municipality] has agreed in principle to partner with Chippa United.  BCM has agreed to host five Chippa United [PSL] home games at the BCM Stadium in East London,” BCM executive mayor spokesman Sibusiso Cindi said.
