PSL season excites Lekeolea

Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Steve Lekoelea said that he is excited about the 2015/16 PSL season because the league has some exciting players.

Lekeolea, who also played for Maritzburg United, spoke highly of Pirates goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo whom he said is proving his worth.

“Mhlongo is proving himself now,” he told Sport24.

“I must give him credit because he has been making some good saves and he is proving that he has got his confidence back.

“I think this season the league is going to be very exciting because there are too many skilful players.

The 36-year-old added that Chippa United left-winger Mark Mayambela shown glimpses of his skillful ability and what he can do with the ball.

“With Mayambela, everybody knows him, he’s got the skill.

“But they must play with a positive mind, not just dribble when the team is not playing well."
