PSL extend condolences to dead fan's family

Cape Town - Premier Soccer League (PSL) CEO Brand de Villiers has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family of Ntandazo Mbenje.

Mbenje tragically lost his life on May 9 at the league match between Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

"We are all saddened by Ntandazo Mbenje’s passing," said the PSL CEO.

"On behalf of the League and our members, we would like to convey our deepest condolences to his family.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this during this difficult time.

"As the football family, we mourn Ntandazo’s death."

De Villiers added: "We would like to afford members of the South African Police Service space to do and complete their investigation. It is important that we establish all the facts on what transpired on Saturday.

"As the League, we will give the Police all the necessary and required assistance."
