Johannesburg - The Premier Soccer League have completed the draw for the Promotion-Relegation playoffs, with the action set to kick-off on May 23.

The draw was conducted just minutes after University of Pretoria were crowned National First Division champions on Sunday, with Tuks gaining automatic promotion to the Premiership, despite losing their final game of the season 1-0.

The victors of that match, Thanda Royal Zulu, hoisted themselves into the final playoff spot, with second-placed Chippa United the other NFD team to contest for their place in South Africa's top-flight league.

Santos, meanwhile, are the PSL outfit set to battle it out for their survival, as their 1-0 victory over already-relegated Jomo Cosmos was not enough to lift them to safety, with relegation rivals Black Leopards beating Ajax Cape Town 3-1.

PSL CEO Stan Matthews said: "The last couple of weeks have been exciting not only for the Absa Premiership but also for the National First Division.

On Saturday, we witnessed the showdown in the Absa Premiership title race and today(Saturday), we were treated to other festivities in the NFD as teams battled for a spot in the Promotion Playoffs."

The full draw with fixture dates is as follows:

23 May 2012 - Thanda Royal Zulu vs Santos

27 May 2012 - Chippa United vs Thanda Royal Zulu

30 May 2012 - Santos vs Chippa United

17 June 2012 - Santos vs Thanda Royal Zulu

20 June 2012 - Thanda Royal Zulu vs Chippa United

23 June 2012 - Chippa United vs Santos

The venues and kick-off times for the play-off encounters are yet to be confirmed.
