Johannesburg - The PSL has decided to postpone a number of fixtures that were originally meant to be played this coming weekend.

According to the soccerladuma website, this decision was made on Thursday by the PSL EXCO, to promote the spirit of Fair Play, and now as many as possible second last Absa Premiership fixtures will be played simultaneously on May 6 2014.

All fixtures bar the Orlando Pirates v Platinum Stars and Free State Stars v Mpumalanga Black Aces games, have been moved.

In a statement sent by the PSL, it said, "Following deliberations, the PSL exco decided that in the interest of promoting the spirit of Fair Play, as many as possible of the second last Absa Premiership block fixtures will be played simultaneously on 06 May 2014. The fixtures will kick-off at 19h30."

"Accordingly, all Absa Premiership fixtures scheduled for this weekend will be postponed with the exception of Orlando Pirates vs Platinum Stars and Free State Stars vs MP Black Aces."

Brand De Villiers, the PSL CEO, said, “This matter was placed before the PSL Executive Committee Meeting following correspondence from a number of clubs.”
