PSL amend fixtures list

Johannesburg - The Premier Soccer League have amended the fixture list for the second half of the 2011/12 Premiership campaign.

The alterations were made to accommodate Orlando Pirates who will embark on their CAF Champions League campaign while Black Leopards are scheduled to contest the CAF Confederations Cup.

Speaking at the PSL headquarters in Johannesburg on Thursday, general manager of football Derek Blanckensee confirmed the fixture changes.

"Following the release of the detailed fixtures for the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, we amended (the PSL) fixtures," he said.

"These, together with some specific requests for changes coming from our broadcast partner, have resulted in some changes to our fixtures for the remainder of the season.

"For the remainder of the season we have the alternative dates to which the affected Premiership matches will be moved in the event that our two teams remain in their respective CAF Competitions."
