SuperSport United continue their excellent form under new boss Gordon Igesund as they eased past with Tshwane neighbours, the University of Pretoria in convincing fashion.

Clive Barker’s excessive off-season spending seems to be paying dividends after his Black Aces side's hard-fought 3-2 victory over Zeca Marques’ struggling Moroka Swallows.

Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits held each another to a goalless draw at Loftus Stadium while a wonder goal from Daine Klate help Orlando Pirates secure a 1-0 win over Free State Stars.

Steve Komphela’s Maritzburg United added to Platinum Stars’ woes as they defeated Allan Freese’s side in comfortable fashion, 3-1.

Chiefs had to dig deep against Ajax Cape Town, but left the Mother City with all three points thanks to a second half goal by Tefu Mashamaite.

Ernst Middendorp may well have put to rest all sacking speculation, for now at least, after Bloemfontein Celtic hammered Polokwane City 5-1.
