Johannesburg - Premier Soccer League (PSL) chairman Irvin Khoza says the league has made its first collective bargaining agreement with the SA Football Players' Union (SAFPU).
The agreement, announced in Johannesburg on Thursday, gives SAFPU the opportunity to negotiate rights on behalf of the players.
SAFPU said 1 231 players had already registered with the body, and it was in ongoing talks with players who had not registered with the union.
One of the key discussions involved in the agreement was the issue of basic wages paid to soccer players who turn out in South Africa's domestic league.
