Cape Town - Mamelodi
Sundowns captain Alje Schut, who has already confirmed this will be his last
season at the Pretoria club, is not at all bitter about the manner in which his
final Premiership campaign has ended.

During his tenure at Sundowns, Schut has guided the club to
two trophies, one of them being the Premiership title which they won last
However during the campaign, despite their having been a
glimmer of hope at one stage, Sundowns have been outthought, outwitted and
outplayed in every respect by Kaizer Chiefs, who won back the crown they
conceded to the Brazilians in 2014, on Wednesday evening.
And, speaking after the Glamour Boys were confirmed as
champions following the 4-1 win over Polokwane City, Downs skipper Schut thinks
Amakhosi are worthy recipients of the Premiership title.
"I just want to congratulate them on a deserved league
title," said Schut, who is expected to return to his homeland of Holland
"They were the most consistent team this year and I
know it takes a lot of hard work and sacrifice, so well done to them,"
added the Dutch-born defender.
