Pirates face stern opening PSL test

Cape Town – The Premier Soccer League have provisionally released the opening day fixtures of the Absa Premiership.

Orlando Pirates will travel to Pretoria for their opening Absa Premiership fixture to take on SuperSport United, in arguably the highlight of the opening day.

2014/15 Champions will tackle Chippa United in Eastern Cape in a repeat of last season's final day. Steve Komphela will hope to get a victory in his first PSL match in charge of the Naturena club.

Roger de Sa will take his Ajax Cape Town side to his old playground when the Ikamva club takes on Bidvest Wits and newly promoted Golden Arrows bump heads with University of Cape Town.

Absa Premiership runners-up, Mamelodi Sundowns, will hope to kick-off their campaign to a good start when they travel to Rustenberg to face Platinum Stars.

Jomo Sono's return to the PSL will start in KwaZulu-Natal when Jomo Cosmos clash with Maritzburg United.
