Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns skipper Esrom Nyandoro is looking for his side to push on from their draw with AmaZulu when they take to the field against Maritzburg United on Saturday.
The Brazilians were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Usuthu in midweek, with the result denting their title hopes.
With just two matches left to play this season, things are starting to really heat up at the top of the table and Nyandoro is adamant that his side must win their final fixtures if they are to stand any chance of lifting the brand new Absa Premiership trophy.
"It was not good enough to collect one point against Amazulu. We needed nothing but a victory, but we are not giving up," Nyandoro said ahead of the match at the Harry Gwala Stadium this weekend.
"Maybe our problem was that we lost too much possession in the middle and did not create enough chances, but we are looking forward to rectify that on Saturday.
"Nevertheless, we still have two games to play. The race is not over and we believe it will be decided on the last day of the league season.
"This is football and anything can happen.
"The result against AmaZulu is now history and our focus is on collecting six points from our two remaining games, starting with Maritzburg United on Saturday."
Sundowns currently trail leaders Ajax Cape Town by four points. A defeat to The Team of Choice this weekend or a win for the Urban Warriors over Kaizer Chiefs will completely end their title hopes.
