Nyandoro expects tough tie

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns captain Esrom Nyandoro says he expects a difficult game when The Brazilians travel to Cape Town for their Absa Premiership clash with Santos.

The Zimbabwean international believes his side will leave the Mother City triumphant, such is his confidence following their 2-1 win against SuperSport United where two very late goals turned the game on its head.

With the current league champions seemingly heading for a win, Mabhuti Khenyeza struck with five minutes of normal time left before Papi Zothwane completed the Tshwane derby robbery in injury time.

Santos won one and drew one of their PSL matches against Downs last season with the Cape side currently fourth on seven points while Antonio Lopez-Habas' team are in second with nine points.

Nyandoro told the bodies' official website: "It's always tough to go and play away from home, especially in Cape Town, and Santos are a solid team in good form, who are particularly strong at set pieces.

"It seems as the league goes on it gets tougher and tougher, so it's up to us to work even harder in each game.

"We respect Santos, but we go into this game high on confidence after beating SuperSport - victories of those nature are always encouraging in that they show the fighting spirit we have in this side."
