Nxumalo: I am declared fit to play

Cape Town – Ajax Cape Town striker Prince Nxumalo has declared himself fit to play following back-to-back epileptic fits.

According to KickOff, the 25-year-old collapsed in a PSl encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns which was later confirmed as an epileptic fit.

The second attack happened in a MTN8 fixture against Bidvest Wits where he was rushed to hospital.

The forward insists that he is working hard behind the scenes in order to match ready.

“I’m okay... I am declared fit to play,” he said.

“I have gone for three tests already and the doctors have given me the green light to continue playing.

“I have been training hard with my team-mates and am looking forward to the match against Platinum Stars [on Sunday].”

Ajax travel to Rustenburg and will be hoping to climb the Absa Premiership table to improve on their seventh place position.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
