Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise foresees a Kaizer Chiefs slump but admits the Sowetan side has been in impressive form.
Amakhosi are well on course for a ninth Absa Premiership win if they overcome Moroka Swallows which will extend their record to 16 consecutive wins.
According to KickOff, Modise expects their form to automatically dip in due course as the season progress.
"In the previous season they started well and could not finish strong. This shows that it is how you finish and not how you start,” says Modise.
“Like I said, the League is a race and it is still early to conclude who will win it. Everyone still has their eyes on the prize and certainly we also want to defend our title.
“Time will tell, but surely we are not panicking at all,” added the former Orlando Pirates midfielder.
Meanwhile, Sundowns have a tricky PSL encounter against Chippa United following the Eastern Cape side's back to back wins over Pirates and more recently Swallows.
Kick-off is at 19:30 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday, October 22.
