Norodien’s season to shine?

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town captain Travis Graham believes that this is the season for young Riyaad Norodien to shine.

After sitting out much of last season due to a contractual dispute with the club the 20-year-old caught the eye of many in the last few games, and was one of the stand-out players for the Urban Warriors in their 2-2 result against Sporting Lisbon on Friday night, where the Portuguese team eventually won on penalties.

“He is a good young player,” Graham insisted in a chat with Sport24

“He hasn’t played a lot so I think this season will be a good opportunity to show the country that he really is the good player that he has shown to be in the few games that he’s played.”

Norodien has recently also received praise from Owen Da Gama, his under-23 national team coach, who believes the energetic winger will go far.
