No Laffor contract talks

Cape Town - Anthony Laffor has not signed a new contract extension with Mamelodi Sundowns the club has confirmed.

“The talk that Laffor has signed a new contract is not true,” said Sundowns’ head of communications Joe Latakgomo.

According to KickOff, Latakgomo hopes the media would have learned from their past mishaps and insist Sundowns will release a statement when things are all finalised.

“I was hoping by now that people would have learned from the Manyisa incident: the only time people must know if the information is correct is when it’s released by the club.

“Regarding Laffor, we will not be releasing any information on him. We will release information about all the players, not just one. We will tell people who is staying and who is not.”
