Cape Tow - Jonas Nhlapo is hoping to return to his refereeing job in the Premier Soccer League. Nhlapo was suspended by the PSL last year.
“Even if they can call me now and say I must go referee a match tonight, I’d definitely go because refereeing is my passion. I’m unemployed and starving now because my job was taken away from me. This was the only job that I relied on,” revealed Nhlapo.
According to Nhlapo, he’s still waiting to hear from the PSL litigation board about the next move in his case.
“I hope this whole thing will be sorted out as soon as possible. If they don’t get back to me by next Thursday, I will have to call them and find out how soon they can finalise their investigation.”
Nhlapho also says that Ace Ncobo’s resignation from the PSL, didn’t come as a surprise to him.
“I’m not surprised at all, Ace made his bed and he must just lie in it! He grew a python and now it is biting him. So I’m really not surprised by his resignation but I don’t want to talk too much about this, as the case is still continuing,” said Nhlapo.
