Ngobeni hopeful of finding club

Cape Town - Clifford Ngobeni remains hopeful of finding a club after parting ways with Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Ngobeni has failed to live up to expectation that made him a hot property in South Africa during the 2006/07 season that saw him winning the Premier League Young player of the season.

The former Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates midfielder said it has become very frustrating and difficult for him to find a team again.

“It has become a difficult process to find a new team, but I have not lost hope and I’m currently training on my own,” Ngobeni told Sport24.

“We are busy with my manager trying to find something, but at the moment there is not team that has shown interest in my services.

“This is all very frustrating, but I will soldier on.”

The 28-year old was recently training with NFD side Vasco Da Gama with a hope of landing a contract, but things failed to materialise in the end.
