Ngobeni ‘happy’ at Ajax

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town midfielder Clifford Ngobeni insists that he is "happy" to remain at the club following persistent reports linking him to a move out of the Urban Warriors.

The Johannesburg-born player remains diplomatic following the resurfacing of the media reports linking him with a move to either Mamelodi Sundowns or Kaizer Chiefs.

“I am happy at Ajax and the only time that I can comment about a move to another team is after I have put pen to paper at that club.”

The diminutive midfielder, who has previously said that he wants out of the club, has fallen down the pecking order this season.

He has featured mostly from the bench and things were no different on Saturday in the goalless draw against Chiefs where he played the last 12 minutes, coming on to replace Nhlanhla Tshabalala.

“We played well against Chiefs and were unlucky not to get maximum points. The recent results are because teams always raise their game when they come up against us.”
