Ngobeni: No point to prove

Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces holding midfielder Clifford Ngobeni hinted that he will not put himself under pressure to perform when they take on his previous employers, Orlando Pirates.

Amazayoni will battle for the last quarter-final spot on offer in the Telkom Knockout against the Sea Robbers at the Mbombela Stadium on Tueaday.

The former Ajax Cape Town and Golden Arrows star wrote the following on his Twitter account: “I have no point to prove tonight, life goes on. Football is a team sport. I’ll continue playing under the team’s tactics and structure. AmaZayoni.”

The Happy People are coming from a tough goalless stalemate against Tunisian giants, Esperance, in their CAF Champions League semi-final first leg match played over the weekend at the Orlando Stadium.

Meanwhile, Cliver Barker’s Amazayoni are coming from a 1-all draw against Bloemfontein Celtic in an encounter played last month at the Mbombela Stadium.

Tuesday’s match will kick off at 19:30.
