Ngobe backs younger brother

Cape Town - Legendary midfielder, Dumisa Ngobe, has backed his younger brother, Randy Ngobe, to shine following his move from Witbank Spurs in the NFD to PSL side, Polokwane City.

Randy arrived at Rise and Shine along with former Mamelodi Sundowns’ left back, Punch Masenamela.

The former Orlando Pirates midfielder said his young brother is good enough to make a name for himself in the PSL.

However, knows that he will be under pressure to be as good as his older brother as well as their father who played for Witbank Aces in the yesteryear's.

“He must step-up to the pressure and expectation as I also had to do the same because people knew our father as a good player,” Ngobe told Sport24.

“What I can tell you is that we are completely different players as he is left footed while I was right footed, but he is a good player and will add value at Rise and Shine.”

Ngobe said Randy will have to double his efforts because people will be comparing him with his older brother, but expects him to shine once he has settled at the Kosta Papic’s team.
