Cape Town - Platinum Stars head coach Allan Freese is confident that forward
Mogakolodi Ngele will get over his early slump and live up to
expectations.
The Botswana international earned a big-money move to Mamelodi Sundowns in the off-season after playing a key role in Dikwena's double cup glory in the 2013/14 campaign.
He has remained with the Phokeng outfit on loan but has yet to score for Stars in open play in the current campaign, but Freese has backed Ngele to turn the corner.
"I don't know, maybe it's pressure," Freese told the Sowetan. "Youngsters often find themselves in situations like this, where they are expected to perform consistently.
"But he is doing his best to regain the form that made him one of the most feared forwards in the country last season. He's been working hard and we've also been encouraging him as we believe in him.
"Yes, he has been struggling a little bit because of injuries. Besides, he has been away doing duty for his country, and he is doing well at training, which is a good sign that he will be back to his best in no time," he added.
