New sponsor thrills Birds boss

Soweto - Moroka Swallows chairperson Leon Prins has revealed that being affiliated with Hyundai is great initiative for the Sowetan club.

“They are one of the sponsors of the Fifa World Cup. So it is a good brand for us to be affiliated with and I look forward to a great partnership. We will do our best to make them proud,” said Prins.

According to KickOff, Prins said that they had been waiting for the right kind of brand to be associated with and saw that there was no need to rush things.

“We've had some other opportunities, but we had to wait. This is the right sponsor for us.”

The Dube Birds will officially unveil Hyundai as their new sponsor on Thursday, September 18.

Meanwhile Zeca Marques’ side will want to improve on their 2-0 defeat to Chippa United in two weeks time.

Swallows are seventh position with nine points and face Free State Stars on Saturday, September 27 at 15:00 in their next PSL encounter.
