Neeskens expects tight finish

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Johan Neeskens has predicted that the race for the PSL title will go down to the wire this season.

The Brazilians lost 2-1 against Platinum Stars on Wednesday and are one point behind league leaders Orlando Pirates, who drew with Moroka Swallows.

Considering the inconsistent form of the top clubs, even sixth-placed Free State Stars - who are eight points off the pace - still have a realistic shot at the title, and Neeskens believes it will go down to the last game of the campaign.

"All the teams have five games to go now [Kaizer Chiefs have a game in hand in fifth place] and I believe nobody, from the chasing teams, will win all five games," the Dutchman said.

"In fact, I believe that it's going to be the last game of the season that will be the decider."

He added: "We are still in it as long as we are among the top teams in the league.

"We are not feeling any pressure whatsoever."
