Ndulula seeks improvement

Durban - AmaZulu striker Bongani Ndulula says the club were disappointed after they narrowly missed out on a top eight finish in the PSL last season.

Usuthu got off to a quick start last season, but lost momentum along the way, but the 25-year-old goal poacher revealed that the Kwa-Zulu Natal based team will be aiming to improve from their disappointing performance of the previous campaign, when the new season kicks off in August.

"We started well last season but we finished badly," Ndulula told Sport24 in an exclusive interview.

"We worked hard as a team but at the end of the season we were disappointed.

"We were very disappointed more when we lost our top eight finish.

"We were winning some games at the beginning of the league but we started losing games.

"It happens in football but we were disappointed as a team.

"For next season I can’t promise much as an individual.

"But as a team we will do our best to improve from last season.

"But it all needs hard work from all of our players."

'Drogba' scored five league goals for Usuthu in the 2013/14 PSL season and admits that he was not satisfied with his goal return and vows to rectify this in the coming campaign.

" I am not satisfied with the way I performed last season.

"As a striker, you must score goals for your team.

"I have to score goals for Amazulu as I am a striker," added Ndulula.

"Five league goals for me was not enough.

"I believe I could have done a little bit better than that."
