Durban - Bafana Bafana and AmaZulu striker Bongani Ndulula is still in shock over the untimely death of his national team skipper and former Orlando Pirates team-mate Senzo Meyiwa.
The Umlazi-born goalkeeper was shot dead at his girlfriend and musician Kelly Khumalo’s home in Vosloorus on Sunday night.
Ndulula was lost for words as he broke his silence to the incident, revealing his reaction to Sport24 in an exclusive interview on Monday.
“Drogba” also hinted that he used to run to Meyiwa whenever he had problems on camp while doing duties for the national team recently.
”It’s still a shock to me,” said Ndulula.
“I'm so heartbroken and feel like crying kakhulu (big time).
“I still feel like I could continue crying a lot my brother, I can’t believe it.
“I used to play the PlayStation games with him in camp and we used to tease and laugh with him the time we were at the national team.
“And since he was a captain I was always complaining to him if I want something and not getting it...
“He might be gone but he won’t be forgotten.”
“Okpara Junior” earned seven caps in Bafana colours, managing to keep a clean sheet on six occasions.
Details about Meyiwa’s burial are yet to be confirmed.
