Musonda to stay on at Polokwane City

Cape Town - Veteran Zambian defender, Joseph Musonda, has been offered a contract extension at Polokwane City.

Musonda signed a one year contract when he joined Polokwane City from Golden Arrows at the start of last season.

His contract with the team is coming to an end at the end of this month but the club won't let the 38-year-old go.

Sport24 source close to the club in Limpopo said that the team management has offered Musonda an improved new deal.

"He will be staying at the club,” the source disclosed.

“He is one of the few veterans that had been offered a new deal by the team and he is staying.

“He played an important part under Kosta Papic and that's why they are keeping him."
