The former Zanaco man is yet to start a competitive game for the Bucaneers but was involved in friendly games against Bloemfontein Celtic and Esperanca during the Christmas mid-season break.
"I played two pre-season friendlies so I am getting to gel well with the team, which is encouraging," Musonda told Orlando Pirates' Official website.
"I have been watching these guys and it has always been my wish to one day play in the PSL. I am honoured to play for Orlando Pirates.
"It is a big team, not just here in South Africa they are an African giant. I can't wait to get going and look forward to making my debut."
The striker has been impressed with the spirit among the players at Pirates and says he has been made to feel welcome by the rest of the squad.
"I have been training with the guys since we started with the pre-season and I feel ok; the guys have welcomed me and I am feeling at home," he added.
"From what I have seen at training, there is a great team spirit; the guys are happy to see each other doing well (in training and in games) and you can see the brotherhood amongst the players.
“I feel like I am part of that bond already."
