Musona transfer a week away

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona will become a Hoffenheim player in a "week or so", according to the club's official website.

Amakhosi are reported to be at an 'advanced stage of the negotiations for the player' after a successful stint with the German club during their pre-season trip to Austria.

The club revealed: 'Kaizer Chiefs and German Bundesliga outfit, TSG Hoffenheim are at an advanced stage of the negotiations for the player, Knowledge 'Smiling Assassin' Musona and it is anticipated that the deal will be concluded over next week or so.

'It was a successful trip for the player who flew to Germany on Sunday and joined the team for the preseason in Austria.'

Meanwhile, Chiefs have sent strikers Andile Nqabeni and Mpo Sitayitayi to National First Division side Thanda Royal Zulu for a season long loan.

Club manager Bobby Motaung told the club's website: "Neil (Tovey) approached us about the two players and we agreed into a deal that will see the players continuing with their development at Thanda. Both players did join the team for preseason camp in Pretoria and are in good shape. We wish them well."
