Johannesburg - Knowledge Musona has failed a late fitness test and will miss the top of the table clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.

According to the Soccer-Laduma website, the Zimbabwean international was injured in the CAF Champions League clash against AS Vita and was forced off in the first-half after he injured his left ankle minutes after he'd scored the opening goal and was replaced by Matthew Rusike.

Amakhosi won the second-leg tie but ended up losing 3-2 on aggregate to crash out of the CAF Champions League, giving Stuart Baxter’s men the chance to concentrate on the league title.

The striker who is on-loan from from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim has already scored nine goals in as many games for Chiefs and should be fit for their next game.
