Musona remains in limbo

The future of striker Knowledge Musona is still unclear despite the start of the new season being less than a month away.

According to the Football411 website, the Zimbabwean, who spent last season on loan at Kaizer Chiefs, is contracted to Bundesliga outfit 1899 Hoffenheim for two more years, but questions have been raised regarding whether or not he has a future in Germany.

There have been reports linking the 24-year-old with either a return to the Soweto giants or to a club elsewhere in Europe, but the player's representative, Mike Maakab, admits that nothing is concreate yet.

"At the moment there are no new developments with regards to Musona's status," Maakab said.

"He is contracted to Hoffenheim and principally he is their player.

"But we are trying to find an alternative elsewhere in Europe and hopefully that will be within the few coming weeks."
